graphics and cartoons

Hey world! Techy fox back up today.

Today I've been working on some graphics for this blog as well as some homework I've done for my cartooning class.

My cartooning homework was to create a cartoon of Dr. Jekyll from the book Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I've definitely improved my drawing skills over the past year and a half and it shows. I was trying to improve the way certain kinds of clothes lay on a person and how they wrinkle.

The next photo is my design rough for my blog.
It's essentially a silhouette of a fox. I plan on cleaning up the lines and adding some text in the future, but hey, its still a rough so I'll take it.

Well I'm off to figure drawing right now!
Next time I'll have more info on Windows 8

Pre-Windows 8 Review

Hello all! Techy Fox back today

Today I'm going to review windows 8 today because they released a preview.
If you feel like testing it out before you buy this Operating system it can be found here on Microsoft's website

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/download

As always, windows takes an assload of time to install, especially because I have it installing on a virtual machine.

The Desktop of Windows 8 looks very similar to that of its predecessor Windows 7, except it has a couple modifications to it, such as I can't find the command prompt...but it looks pretty so i'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

Still can't find the command prompt, but the setup looks like that of a linux distribution like moblin or meego. But hey, I like it. If its used right it can be really convenient to find all of your stuff.

On a side note, windows will be able to support touch screen monitors as well as tablets. so expect some cool things coming from this.

Shoot me now for saying this, but I actually kind of like Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) and it's functionability. It's simple, its designed well, and if you want you can use the old method of IE as just a window on your desktop, if you wish, or if you multi-task like me.
Well I think I'll just skim the surface for now. Next time i'll do an app by app review of Windows 8.

Hello World!

Just thought I would document all my progress in my studies at Daemen College as an animation major as well as my employment at a computer help desk on campus.

Of course, I could be doing my homework... nah, who does homework on Fridays anyways? We all save it until Sunday and are up at all hours of the night thinking "why didn't I do this sooner?" We all know why, because we've all done it before.

Back to business, after the boring visual and performing arts meeting, I was approached by my friend Tia about becoming an art consultant for various companies and firms. I would be looking over graphic overlays and website layouts to see if they display their message correctly.

Although I'm not an graphics major, I feel like I am qualified for the task. She just asked me to submit a portfolio with a couple of graphic designs on them.

Easy Enough.

I already have the first one planned out right now. This blog deserves a fancy graphic design!
Even no one reads this damn blog i'm going to make a graphic for it anyways. BECAUSE I FREAKING CAN THATS WHY

XD

Well that's enough for now, I'll be off to bed now.
Working tomorrow early in the morning (Just kidding its at 10:00 EST)

All foxed out
